This is a project in which we split one apartment, occupying an entire floor, into two two-bedroom apartments. The investor requested a visual model of two boutique apartments that are made up of a living room, master bedroom with its own attached bathroom, and a third bedroom.
The plan for the third bedroom will be finalized once the apartment has been rented out so that it can better meet the renter’s needs. The now finished project turned out to be remarkably close to the visual models that we first created.

layout
This is the smaller of the two apartments. The apartments were redesigned with an entirely new layout, new plumbing, electrical, and heating/cooling systems based on the project that we had created.

dining room
The accent lighting in the apartment was designed by Architect Anna Colasante and made by Cablelovers Studio inspired by leading companies in the lighting industry.

hallway
The hot water heaters, electric devices, and the safe are all concealed in cabinet enclosures.

dining room
Thanks to the new floor plan that we created from scratch, the kitchen is built into the wall, which makes it blend in better with and add more space to the living room.

dining room
The upper row of kitchen cabinets forms an interesting visual piece as the multicolored MDF cabinet doors blend into one piece as if there are no gaps between the individual doors. With this design we tried to break away from the usual kitchen look, and also make it so the kitchen flows into the living room.

kitchen
The kitchen counter is made of Italian engineered stone, and we installed a seamless kitchen sink and cooktop for a more integrated look. The light switches and plugs are all designer-made by a leading Italian company.

living room
The doors follow a classic design with hidden hinges; the door frames, doors, and baseboards are all on the same plane for a smoother look, and are all light colored based on the RAL color chart. We selected door handles that had won the Red Dot Design award.
