WHEN

June 2020

This apartment is located in one of the oldest neighborhoods in Sofia and is in one of the few newly-built apartment buildings there.

The apartment is owned by a family that lives primarily abroad and uses the apartment as a vacation home when they come back to Bulgaria. The idea was to make the bathrooms, kitchen, and bedroom as nice and as comfortable as possible, so we used high quality custom-ordered furniture to best fit the space.

living room

Some furniture was also purchased from IKEA so that it would be easier for the family to replace it based on their growing children’s needs.

The dining room has a kitchen island with tall chairs which creates more space for the owners and passionate cooks, while at the same time offers a place where the family can eat their meals together.

The TV furniture is level with the dining-area furniture and matches the kitchen’s design and colors.

The entire apartment (even in the bathrooms) is covered by an unbroken vinyl floor, which creates the feeling of spaciousness and gives the home a sense of continuity.

The colors are light; the nude tones give the apartment a cozy feeling.

The trim is made of PVC for easier upkeep. We used tiles only for the shower area. The bathrooms are large with big mirrors and Barisol illuminated ceiling panels.
