“less is more”
The world is changing and our way of life is changing with it.
This project transformed the attic of a historic building located in the heart of the city into a unique loft apartment. Even though it is only 24 m2 in size, the apartment offers to its potential young inhabitant all the comforts of modern living condensed within a tiny but functional open-floor plan.

layout
Before the transformation, the space was the classic dark attic with no electric or plumbing. We built partition walls in order to create a bathroom and a kitchen nook with a sleeping loft above them.

The project was carried out within a tiny area at a low cost by employing the philosophy of sustainable multipurpose design and environmental awareness.

Some of the furniture was selected for its space-saving features and can be transformed to be used only when needed, while some of the furniture are multifunctional.

The wardrobe was built as a simple wooden frame that was upholstered with repurposed fabric and opens and closes with velcro.
Some elements were left at the basic construction level that is still functional – for example, the floor was finished with self-leveling concrete and waterproof plywood panels on top.
The home decor and accessories were selected by the artist Amenun Geneva who is also responsible for the home staging and is the creator of its main highlight – the wall art.
